I am a creative technologist, artist and producer storytelling through emerging technologies. I am currently living in the Bay Area facilitating a year-long Fellowship with BuzzFeed’s Open Lab for Journalism, Technology and the Arts.
My latest work employs paired object programming, tech couture, turntablism, design, virtual reality, up-cycling and image arithmetic. My work examines societal themes such as surveillance, race and empathy. I am creating a DIY, FPV wearable sousveillance toolkit as a praxis for citizen journalism, conscious media consumption and radical societal reflection.
I spent the last five years at Apple, Inc. in software quality and hardware prototyping/bring-up for mobile and desktop platforms. I've spent the last ten years curating and performing DJ sets at a wide range of events throughout the Bay Area under the handle "Afrodjiak". I believe this gives me a unique lens into the arts community.
